ALL ABOUT LYNDA

Lynda Kettle is a British artist. Art training led to a first class Honours degree in theatre design. A progression from theatre into BBC television as an arts director and production designer quickly followed, beginning a high profile career with many major film and television productions.

Lynda has painted for many years in pastel and watercolour. She is a member of the Octavon Art Group, Lynden Art Group and the Birmingham Watercolour Society, and exhibits her work several times a year at selected galleries. Lynda is an associate Member of the RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists).

Her style has evolved from a fusion of her theatre and tv design skills with her dramatic flair, which has produced a highly individualistic approach with stunning clarity of detail. Her works to date have followed two main themes :- natural environment depicting light and shade, distinct and often dramatic images; and richly lit provincial subjects inspired by her travels in France and Italy.

Lynda's "Images of Birmingham" collection presents fresh and innovative views of Birmingham’s canal network and city living environments. Her lastest collection of University of Birmingham pastels is aptly named "Pride and Joy of Birmingham" and shows familiar landmarks such as "Old Joe" the clock tower and the Aston Webb Building.
